We had a new system installed three and a half years ago and it stopped cooling. They sent a tech out and charged us $80 or so to diagnose the problem. Once they figured out it was a leak in the inside coil, we scheduled a date to replace it under the 5 year warranty. I had assumed the warranty on labor was only one year which meant about $1,000 in cost to us, but the tech wanted to call in and check just to be sure.

It turns out that the sales rep that sold us the system, who I believe was the owner, actually gave us 5 years on the labor also. So, the total cost to us was $0. They even refunded the original $80 charge to test the system. It’s nice to find a company that goes out of their way to deal honestly with their customers.
